Industry Snapshot

To increase design capabilities, it is important to leverage the core competencies of India which is a high-value and low-cost design. Even though the design consciousness is on the rise with movements emerging to connect and advance the design community through art symposiums, design workshops, theatre performances, and art installations, there is a serious dearth of trained design professionals in the industry. With more than 30 design schools and institutes having been set up in the recent years, the industry is bound to gain in the future.

Freelancing is a common trend among designers who gain the experience and satisfaction of working with diverse range of clients from across the world. There is a huge demand for talented designers who understand the user experience from a visual point of view besides having the ability to convert it into a functional design.
